Job Description

We are looking for an Urban Planner to contribute to the sustainable development of Sheffield. This role involves assessing urban designs, engaging with stakeholders, and proposing improvements to enhance community well-being and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing urban infrastructure and propose enhancements.
  • Participate in inter-departmental projects that align urban planning with transportation and housing.
  • Research trends in urban design, sustainability, and community development.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for community members on urban planning topics.
  • Ensure that all projects align with the city’s long-term strategic vision and sustainability goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in urban planning
