Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Livestock Trader with solid experience in sourcing and negotiating livestock transactions. The role involves building long-term relationships with farmers and buyers while ensuring regulatory compliance and monitoring market trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent livestock supply.
• Conduct regular evaluations of market conditions to ascertain trading opportunities.
• Negotiate terms and prices that maximise profit margins while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Assist the logistics team in managing the efficient transportation of livestock to buyers.
• Provide market analysis and insights to the management for strategic planning.
• Review and update inventory management systems to ensure timely sales.
• Participate in trade shows and industry events to network and gain insights.
• Collaborate with the compliance department to ensure all regulations are adhered to.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
• Experience in risk management is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in agricultural commodities trading is a plus.
