We are looking for a dedicated Medical Records Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Code medical procedures and diagnoses accurately according to the latest coding standards.
• Review and verify the completeness of medical records.
• Stay current on insurance billing and reimbursement practices.
• Assist in the development of coding policies and procedures.
• Support the team by performing administrative tasks as needed.
• Engage with staff to educate and implement necessary coding updates.
• Contribute to the overall improvement of medical record systems.
• Monitor trends in coding changes and share knowledge with the team.
• Support audits and internal compliance reviews.
• Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred
• Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field is advantageous

Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
