Job Description

As a Social and Human Service Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in visiting vulnerable individuals and families, assessing their needs, and providing vital support services. This position requires empathy and dedication to ensuring the welfare of those in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out home visits to assess the welfare needs of clients.
  • Provide clients with strategies to cope with their situations.
  • Work with other care professionals to coordinate support services.
  • Empower clients by providing information about available resources.
  • Document findings and maintain client records accurately.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress.
  • Stay up to date with changes in social care policy and legislation.
  • Provide feedback on service delivery to improve client experience.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or closely related field preferred.
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Social Services role is desirable.
