Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated Child, Family, and School Social Worker who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will assess and manage risks, develop care plans, and work closely with other agencies to ensure the well-being of vulnerable children.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and managing the risk of harm to children and young people.
  • Developing and implementing care plans for children and families in need of protection and support.
  • Collaborating with other agencies and professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Providing support and guidance to families in crisis.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Attending court and giving evidence as necessary.
  • Organising and participating in child protection conferences.
  • Undertaking regular reviews of care plans and risk assessments.
  • Delivering training to other professionals as required.
  • Participating in the out-of-hours service on a rota basis.

Requirements

Education
  • Recognised social work qualification (degree or equivalent) registered with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS check
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a child protection social work role.
