As a Skinner at LeatherWorks Ltd., you will be responsible for the skinning and preparation of animal hides, ensuring that our high-quality standards are met. Your expertise will contribute directly to the efficiency and quality of our leather production process.

Responsibilities

• Carry out skinning processes while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Evaluate hides for defects and determine usability.
• Utilise machinery and tools efficiently for skinning.
• Communicate effectively within the team to optimise production.
• Adhere to safety protocols in handling hazardous materials.
• Keep track of production metrics for continuous improvement.
• Maintain equipment to reduce downtime.
• Participate in skill development workshops and safety training.
• Contribute to a positive team dynamic and morale.
• Assist in logistics for the movement of hides.

Requirements

Education

• Experience in a related field is highly regarded.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in skinning or leatherwork preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with machinery used in skinning
• Advanced quality control techniques

Soft Skills

• Effective communication

Languages

• English: Fluent
