Job Description

We are searching for a detail-oriented Coroner Investigator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will investigate deaths within the jurisdiction of the Coroner's office, ensuring that every case is thoroughly examined. You will collaborate with law enforcement, medical professionals, and families to gather evidence and deliver accurate conclusions about the causes of death. Your work will be essential in upholding the integrity of the investigation process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee investigations from initial report to conclusion, ensuring thorough and systematic approaches.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to assist in ongoing investigations.
• Compile and maintain accurate case files that comply with legal standards.
• Educate the public and families regarding the investigative process where needed.
• Assist in training junior investigators and interns in investigative procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science or Criminal Justice

Experience

• Experience in a coroner's office or related agency

• Evidence Collection

Advantageous

• Previous experience working with law enforcement: Familiarity with law enforcement protocols and procedures will be beneficial.
