Job Description

As an Animal Control Worker, you will play a vital role in enforcing animal control laws and ensuring the safety of both animals and the public. Your responsibilities will include responding to complaints, capturing stray animals, and collaborating with local authorities to provide care and placement for seized animals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to pet owners regarding behaviour and care of their animals.
  • Engage with the community through educational outreach programs about animal welfare.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinary services to ensure animals receive necessary care.
  • Assist in the management and care of the animal shelter facilities.
  • Monitor and report any violations of animal welfare regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Animal Care or a related field is advantageous.
Experience
  • Prior experience in animal services or veterinary clinics is preferred.
