We are seeking a Public Health Officer to lead community health initiatives in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public health, data analysis, and community engagement to implement effective health programmes.
Responsibilities
Design and manage health promotion campaigns targeted at community-level issues.
Conduct and analyse health surveys, interpreting data effectively.
Liaise with government agencies and NGOs to support public health activities.
Implement strategies aimed at reducing health disparities within the community.
Organise health screenings and vaccination drives in collaboration with local health services.
Develop educational materials to inform the public about health issues.
Support the training of staff and volunteers in public health practices.
Assist in emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field
Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus
Experience
3-5 years of progressive experience in public health
