Law Researcher

Job Description

The Law Researcher will play a critical role in supporting our legal team by conducting in-depth research and providing analytical insights into various legal cases. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detailed understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform legal research using various databases and resources.
• Compile and summarize legal documents and case law.
• Assist in drafting legal documents and briefs.
• Work closely with attorneys to prepare for court cases.
• Maintain accurate records of research findings and documentation.
• Monitor legislative changes relevant to the firm's practice areas.
• Provide insights to the legal team regarding case strategy.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing cases.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all legal matters.
• Support training initiatives for junior researchers.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent degree in Law
• Postgraduate degree in Law (LLM or PhD) is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal research position

Technical Skills

• Document Management
• Knowledge of Legal Software

Certifications

• Certifications from legal research institutions

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in additional languages: Ability to conduct research in multiple languages is a plus.
