Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomy Services Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws, specimen collection, and various laboratory duties with a focus on exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws, ensuring the use of aseptic techniques.
  • Accurately label and maintain records of biological samples.
  • Educate patients about the procedures to alleviate anxiety.
  • Work closely with the laboratory team to coordinate testing schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols at all times.
  • Assist in managing phlebotomy supplies and inventory.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to improve services.
  • Support additional laboratory tasks as needed.
  • Follow all safety regulations and report any incidents promptly.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of a recognized phlebotomy certification program
  • GPhC registration or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical setting
