Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated Automotive Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Dumfries. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair techniques, and diagnostics. You will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle safety and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle problems using specialized diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty components and systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • Keep work area clean and organized according to health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle status.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and vehicles technology.
  • Help optimise workshop efficiency and resource management.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 2 in Automotive Engineering
  • Further qualifications in automotive or mechanical fields are beneficial.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience with hands-on vehicle maintenance
