We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team in Plymouth. Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical design projects from concept to completion.
• Review and update engineering standards and procedures.
• Develop robust testing protocols for new designs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure designs are executable.
• Prepare project documentation including design reports and presentations.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to team discussions.
• Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Utilize CAD software to create and modify designs.
• Identify potential areas for cost reduction in engineering.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Mechanical systems design

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Negotiation skills

Certifications

• Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in additional engineering software (e.g., ANSYS): Experience in simulation tools for mechanical engineering analysis.
