Auger Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Auger Operator to operate and maintain drilling equipment on various construction and mining sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in drilling operations and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation of auger drilling rigs on site.
• Maintain equipment to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Conduct thorough inspections of job sites.
• Champion safety compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with project managers on site plans.
• Log maintenance and safety records diligently.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment and safety.
• Perform additional tasks related to site operations.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in construction or civil engineering field is desirable

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in drilling and boring operations.

Technical Skills

• Machinery Operation
• Blueprint Interpretation

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Confined Space Entry Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of environmental regulations: Awareness of local and national environmental laws regarding drilling.
• Ability to operate other heavy machinery: Experience with additional heavy machinery like excavators or bulldozers.
