Cyber Defense Engineer

Job Description

As a Cyber Defense Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our cybersecurity efforts in Aberdeen. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design security solutions that protect our infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The right candidate will have expertise in security architectures and prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Implement firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection systems to protect network security.
• Perform risk assessments and manage the implementation of security controls.
• Maintain and review incident response plans and disaster recovery operations.
• Identify and document areas of vulnerability within our infrastructure.
• Participate in security audits and compliance checks.
• Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory agencies during security incidents.
• Research and recommend security technologies and solutions.
• Assist in the development of cyber security policies and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on defense strategies

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages
