Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Brighton office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in designing and implementing structural systems for a variety of projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and detailing of structural elements in new construction projects.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing structures for renovations and upgrades.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of design changes and project developments.
  • Collaborate with local authorities on zoning and building regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on material selection and structural performance.
  • Participate in project planning and resource allocation decisions.
  • Deliver presentations on design concepts and project progress to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of company best practices in engineering design.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree in a related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects
Technical Skills
  • SAP2000
  • STAAD Pro

Certifications
  • Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Membership
Languages
  • English: Fluent
