Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our passionate team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and possess excellent clinical skills to ensure the health and well-being of our patients. You will be involved in consultations, surgeries, and developing treatment plans tailored to each individual animal's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animals.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Counsel pet owners on treatment options and care plans.
  • Manage emergency and critical care cases.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and supervise junior veterinary staff.
  • Engage with the community to promote responsible pet ownership.
  • Participate in outreach programs to educate the public about animal welfare.
  • Contribute to team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Membership of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) is required
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience preferred
