Crop Duster Helper

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Crop Duster Helper. The role involves assisting in crop dusting operations to ensure efficient and effective application of pesticides and fertilizers. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced crop duster pilots and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Load pesticides and fertilisers onto the aircraft efficiently and safely.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance of spraying equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Support pilots during crop dusting operations by managing logistical tasks.
• Keep detailed records of spraying activities, including weather conditions and chemical usage.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all operations.
• Engage in training to enhance knowledge of crop dusting techniques and equipment.
• Assist with the inventory of chemicals and supplies necessary for operations.
• Work alongside team members to improve operational efficiency and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• No specific prior experience required. Training will be provided.

Technical Skills

• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

Soft Skills

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in agricultural or related fields: Experience working in agriculture or similar environments is beneficial.
• Familiarity with crop dusting techniques: Knowledge of how crop dusting operations work is a plus.
• Certifications for handling pesticides: Having certifications related to pesticide application can strengthen your application.
