CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an adept CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CNC machining processes and be skilled in operating various CNC machines for precision component manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills effectively to produce precision components.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform quality control inspections throughout the production process.
• Document machining processes for quality assurance purposes.
• Ensure machinery is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to meet specifications.
• Assist in the development of new machining processes.
• Compile and report production data to management.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

Education

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering
• HNC or HND in Manufacturing Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of CNC operation experience preferred

• CNC Setup and Operation
• Machining Techniques

Certifications

• CNC Programming Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of 5-axis machining: Experience operating 5-axis CNC machines for complex geometry.
• Understanding of tooling and fixturing: Familiarity with selecting and maintaining appropriate tooling and fixtures for CNC operations.
