Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Electronics Repairer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and working collaboratively with other technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections and diagnostics of power generation equipment.
  • Identify and rectify any faults in electrical control circuits.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities are performed to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency.
  • Document all work conducted in compliance with company protocols.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Requirements

Education
  • City and Guilds Mechanical Engineering (Level 3)
  • NVQ in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering (Level 3)
  • Relevant apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance role within a power generation plant or similar environment.
Technical Skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
Certifications
  • Health and Safety Certification
  • Electrical Safety Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with gas and steam turbines: Familiarity with the operational aspects of gas and steam turbine systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems: Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
