Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated First-Line Supervisor to lead our construction trades and extraction workers. The ideal candidate will effectively manage teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise construction trades and extraction teams on-site, promoting efficiency.
  • Ensure the highest levels of health and safety compliance among crew members.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of daily work schedules.
  • Maintain clear communication with project management and other departments.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress and workforce performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas for compliance with regulations.
  • Organise and facilitate training sessions for staff on safety protocols.
  • Encourage teamwork and foster good relationships within the crew.
  • Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance needs.
  • Be proactive in identifying and mitigating potential issues on site.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in construction
