Job Description

We are seeking passionate Medical Equipment Preparers to join our skilled team. You will be instrumental in preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting healthcare professionals in delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the surgical theatre and ensure readiness for procedures.
  • Assist with patient positioning and provide support to surgical teams.
  • Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Help monitor patients during surgery and respond to their needs.
  • Manage the cleaning and sterilisation of surgical instruments post-operation.
  • Transport patients safely to and from the operating room.
  • Ensure surgical equipment is well-maintained and operational.
  • Document all surgeries and patient information accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by senior medical staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of a surgical technician training program
  • Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Experience
  • No previous experience required, but prior experience in healthcare is advantageous.
