Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Veterinary Lab Manager to lead our laboratory team in Corby. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering exceptional services to our veterinary clients. You will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day activities of the lab, maintaining quality control, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations of the veterinary lab, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services.
• Manage laboratory staff, conducting training and performance evaluations.
• Establish and uphold laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate customer service and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise lab operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory-related inquiries from clients and staff.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on laboratory performance metrics.
• Organise and participate in staff training sessions.
• Evaluate and introduce new lab technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in laboratory management
