Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cytogenetic Technologist to analyse chromosomes and genetic markers, helping to detect genetic abnormalities. Your role is crucial in providing timely diagnostic results to clinicians and supporting research initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct cytogenetic tests and provide accurate analysis on patient samples.
Interpret results using bioinformatics tools.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols.
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with laboratory standards.
Engage in continuous professional development and training.
Collaborate with research teams on innovative genetic studies.
Support laboratory operations by troubleshooting equipment issues.
Assist in the development and implementation of new testing protocols.
Requirements
Education
BSc in Genetics or a related field
MSc in Clinical Genetics or Cytogenetics is preferred
Experience
3+ years of experience in cytogenetics or a similar field
