Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team in Leicester. This role involves providing exceptional care to our patients while supporting our veterinarians in delivering treatments and surgeries. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care, a genuine passion for animal welfare, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare animals for surgery and medical procedures.
  • Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Conduct health assessments and assist in diagnostic procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ health and treatments.
  • Manage stock levels of veterinary supplies and medications.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with pet owners post-treatment.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Veterinary Nursing
  • Additional qualifications in animal behaviour are advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in a busy veterinary practice is preferred
