Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Food Inspector to join our team in Telford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing food safety practices, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to public health are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect food products for quality and safety before they reach consumers.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the food inspection process.
• Report findings to management and suggest improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans for high-risk areas.
• Provide insight into new food safety technologies and methodologies.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed on food safety.
• Develop and implement training programs for new inspectors.
• Assist in preparing for and conducting audits by regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
• Professional qualifications in food safety management are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in food safety inspection or compliance

• Knowledge of food hygiene practices

Certifications

• Food Safety Level 3 Certification
