Job Description

The Rock Room Worker plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for handling and processing rocks and minerals in our well-equipped facility. This position involves preparing samples for analysis and ensuring the integrity of all materials processed.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and sort various types of rocks and stones according to their size, shape, and quality.
  • Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in the rock room.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for rock room activities.
  • Perform quality control checks on the rocks and stones to ensure they meet the company's standards.
  • Identify any defects or irregularities in the rocks and stones and report them to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and protocols while working in the rock room.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements for rock room operations.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in geology or related field is preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience working with rocks or stones is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of rock classification
  • Machinery operation skills

Languages
  • English: Fluent
