Job Description

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will conduct inspections, assessments, and evaluations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You will identify potential hazards, provide recommendations, and work collaboratively to enhance environmental health practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Evaluate compliance with health regulations and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs on environmental health.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote adherence to safety practices.
  • Stay informed on current trends and legislative changes in environmental health.
  • Implement preventive measures and action plans based on evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of health and safety policies.
  • Provide expert guidance during audits and assessments.
  • Foster partnerships with local health officials and agencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental health field.
