Job Description

We are in search of a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to join our team in Swansea. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children, fostering their social, emotional, and physical development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children's safety during all activities.
• Develop age-appropriate programs to encourage learning.
• Engage in play with the children to promote social skills.
• Maintain regular communication with parents about their child's milestones.
• Assist with personal care routines including toileting and hygiene.
• Foster an environment of respect and inclusivity.
• Document developmental progress and prepare reports.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops related to childcare.
• Assist in organizing special events for children and families.

Requirements

Education

• Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher preferred
• Nutrition qualification is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a childcare setting

Technical Skills

• Child Development Knowledge
• Health & Safety Regulations

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Creativity

Certifications

• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Montessori methods: Understanding and experience with Montessori teaching methods.
• Work experience in a nursery setting: Practical experience gained in a nursery or similar environment.
