Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Public Health Officer to join our Swansea team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing public health strategies, conducting health assessments, and promoting health education initiatives. Ideal candidates should have a strong commitment to improving community health and addressing health disparities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead public health outreach and education efforts.
  • Collect and analyse health data to inform programs.
  • Work with schools and businesses to improve community health.
  • Serve as a resource for public health information.
  • Advocate for health promotion and disease prevention policies.
  • Facilitate community health workshops and events.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to enhance health initiatives.
  • Represent the health authority at community meetings.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Public Health, Nursing, or Health Administration
  • Master's degree in Public Health or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a public health role
