Job Description

As a Storeroom Keeper, you will be integral in managing our inventory and ensuring efficient stock control. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will help maintain our storeroom, ensuring that all goods are easily accessible and accurately accounted for. This role is essential in supporting our sales team and contributing to the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Check and record stock levels weekly to ensure optimal inventory.
  • Receive stock deliveries and verify quantities and quality of goods.
  • Organise storeroom layout for efficiency and accessibility.
  • Label and categorise stock accurately for easy retrieval.
  • Assist in packing and dispatching items as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock takes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation in all tasks.
  • Train new staff on inventory processes and safety protocols.
  • Actively contribute to improving inventory management procedures.
  • Respond to queries from sales associates regarding stock availability.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs including Maths and English
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain management or warehousing.
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Excel
  • ERP systems
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving skills
Certifications
  • Relevant health and safety certification is a plus.
Languages
  • English: Fluent

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations: Familiarity with safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents: Skills in reading and understanding manuals and inventory documents.
