Information Security Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Information Security Engineer to join our team in defending against cybersecurity threats. The ideal candidate will have experience in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans for responding to security threats and incidents.
• Coordinate with external partners for security audits and assessments.
• Run regular tests to ensure system vulnerabilities are identified and mitigated.
• Assist in compliance audits with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Lead training sessions for staff to enhance security awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SSCP are desirable

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in security operations, incident response, or vulnerability management.

Technical Skills

• SIEM tools
• IDS/IPS
• Firewalls

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps: Familiarity with best practices for securing cloud environments.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, PCI-DSS): Understanding of regulatory requirements and how to comply with them.
• Experience with threat hunting and threat intelligence: Experience analysing threats to enhance organisational security.
