We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team in London. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mental health nursing and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care, support, and treatment to patients with psychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments on new patients.
• Formulate and execute treatment plans, tailoring approaches based on individual assessments.
• Administer and oversee medication schedules to ensure effective treatment.
• Document ongoing assessments and treatment efficacy in patient records.
• Facilitate counselling sessions to support patient recovery.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Contribute to policy development and best practices in mental healthcare.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and data protection.
• Participate in healthcare training and education for staff.
• Actively engage in patient and family education regarding mental health resources.

Requirements

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a mental health focus
• Valid NMC registration is essential
• Specialist training in advanced psychiatric nursing preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years in psychiatric nursing or mental health settings.
