Job Description

As a Volunteering Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing our volunteer programmes, ensuring that volunteers are supported effectively and have meaningful experiences. This role combines recruitment, training, and community engagement to create a motivated volunteer workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive volunteer retention strategy.
  • Train volunteers and provide ongoing support throughout their experience.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment for all volunteers.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programmes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events.
  • Collaborate with local businesses and organisations to enhance volunteer opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the non-profit sector.
  • Participate in community events to promote the organisation’s mission.
  • Provide reports to senior management regarding volunteer activities and impact.
  • Assist with grant writing and reporting related to volunteer services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management or similar field
  • Master’s degree is a plus

  • 3+ years of experience in volunteer management or community service
