Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges and will possess the ability to create a supportive and understanding environment. This role is vital in assisting clients to achieve their mental wellness goals through evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy based on therapeutic best practices.
  • Create and implement treatment plans tailored to client goals.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, families, and external resources.
  • Engage in community-based programs to promote mental health.
  • Monitor and record client progress, adapting approaches as necessary.
  • Support crisis situations and provide emergency counseling.
  • Educate clients on mental health, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current in best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Psychology or Counseling is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in mental health therapy

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Certifications
  • Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC)
