Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Public Health Officer to join our team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing public health programs and initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes. You will work collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organisations, and government agencies to address public health issues and promote health education.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies for improving access to healthcare services in the community.
  • Conduct workshops to enhance community awareness of health issues.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions for research and data collection.
  • Propose evidence-based health policies to improve population health outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of public health campaigns targeting specific demographics.
  • Establish metrics for evaluating public health program effectiveness.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about public health advancements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the public and health officials.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is favourable
Experience
  • 3+ years working in health promotion or policy
