Job Description

As an Extruding Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot equipment to maintain optimal operations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the setup of extrusion machines for diverse plastic products.
• Oversee the extrusion process and document any deviations from quality standards.
• Engage in regular maintenance checks to avoid production downtimes.
• Train and assist new employees in the operation of extrusion machinery.
• Work closely with quality control to address defects and ensure standards are met.
• Assist in the implementation of effective production practices.
• Compile daily production logs and analyse trends.
• Ensure proper operation of safety equipment and adherence to policies.
• Conduct troubleshooting of mechanical issues to maintain production flow.
• Evaluate and recommend machine upgrades to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in plastics processing or related field.

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in extrusion processes

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of polymer properties
• Experience with specific extrusion processes

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in quality control tools: Experience using calipers, micrometers and other QC equipment.
• Experience with machine programming: Familiarity with programming settings for extrusion machinery.
