Test Analyst

Job Description

As a Test Analyst at ABC Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software solutions. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to deliver high-quality products. Your keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills will help us maintain our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Conduct performance and security testing on applications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Develop automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium.
• Report and manage defects through established tracking systems.
• Engage in user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
• Facilitate testing sessions and meetings to discuss outcomes.
• Research and recommend improvements in testing tools and processes.
• Assist in training junior testers and onboarding new team members.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements

Education

• Relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.

Technical Skills

• Test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
• Scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
• Database querying (e.g., SQL)

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills

Certifications

• ISTQB certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
