Job Description

We are searching for experienced Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operators to join our dedicated maintenance team. Successful candidates will operate heavy machinery and ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards, supporting ongoing projects across London.

Responsibilities

• Effectively operate heavy machinery in a variety of construction environments.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of equipment maintenance procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and within deadlines.
• Record and report any incidences or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Stay updated on new equipment technologies and maintenance best practices.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills.
• Collaborate with construction teams to meet project requirements effectively.
• Complete daily logs and reports for equipment operations.
• Observe site cleanliness and assist with general maintenance tasks.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance role specifically related to heavy machinery

Technical Skills

• Excavators and Bulldozers
• GPS and Equipment Management Systems

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Health & Safety Certification
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of advanced resurfacing technologies: Understanding of new techniques and technologies in the resurfacing field.
• Experience with GPS technology for surveying: Proficient in using GPS technology for effective site management.
