We are seeking a talented Telecommunications Engineer to join our Sheffield team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge telecom solutions that enhance connectivity and communication for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our network systems while collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical specifications for telecommunications networks.
• Integrate new systems with existing technology frameworks.
• Assist in the deployment of telecommunications networks, including fibre optic installations.
• Perform regular audits of telecommunications systems for efficiency and compliance.
• Work with vendors to source equipment and negotiate contracts.
• Prepare reports on network performance and service disruptions.
• Participate in design discussions for system improvements.
• Train team members on new technologies and procedures.
• Stay updated on emerging telecommunications trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the telecommunications sector
