Job Description

As a Literacy Interventionist, you will provide targeted literacy support to students in preschool who require additional help in developing their reading and writing skills. You will use evidence-based interventions and collaborate with teachers to enhance literacy programs within the school.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and effective literacy activities that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Monitor student engagement and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
  • Facilitate small group and one-on-one sessions to enhance literacy skills.
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop comprehensive learning plans.
  • Utilize various literacy assessment tools to gauge student learning and progress.

Requirements

Education
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate qualification in literacy or a related field is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a primary or secondary school setting, focusing on literacy development.
