Job Description

As a Rail Car Repairer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our locomotives. This position involves inspecting, repairing, and ensuring that all rail cars meet rigorous safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in locomotive mechanical systems.
• Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures.
• Document repair operations and update client records.
• Assist in preventative maintenance planning and execution.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Technical Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Relevant certifications in heavy machinery maintenance are preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in rail car or locomotive repair.
