We are seeking a passionate Sports Physiotherapist to join our team in Wrexham. You will work with athletes to assess, diagnose, and treat sports-related injuries, focusing on rehabilitation and promoting optimal performance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate sports injuries and provide evidence-based treatment.
  • Advise on nutrition and wellness for optimal performance.
  • Facilitate return-to-sport protocols to ensure safety.
  • Conduct movement screenings and functional assessments.
  • Implement preventative measures to minimize injury risk.
  • Provide education sessions on injury management and recovery.
  • Contribute to research and development in sports physiotherapy.
  • Develop partnerships with local sports organizations.
  • Participate in fundraising events to support injuries prevention programs.
  • Engage in mentorship for junior physiotherapists and support staff.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in Sports Physiotherapy preferred
  • Manual Therapy Expertise in various manual therapy techniques for rehabilitation.
  • Rehabilitation Techniques Proficient in designing and implementing tailored rehabilitation programs.
  • Assessment Skills Strong ability to assess the needs of athletes effectively.
  • Exercise Prescription Skilled in developing exercise regimens for recovery.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork Proven experience in working collaboratively with teams.
  • Problem-solving Strong analytical skills for overcoming rehabilitation challenges.
  • Empathy Ability to understand athletes’ concerns and provide support.
  • Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration
  • Physiotherapy Society Membership
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience working with youth sports teams: Background in providing physiotherapy to younger athletes.
  • Skills in sports nutrition: Knowledge to advise athletes on dietary choices to enhance performance.
