Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counsellor to join our Edinburgh team. In this role, you will work with clients to assess their mental health needs and deliver tailored therapeutic interventions to enhance their emotional well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs through interviews, observations, and mental health assessments.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and support sessions for varying demographics.
• Utilise evidence-based practices to provide effective treatment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health trends and issues.
• Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor client well-being post-treatment.
• Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
• Participate in research and data collection to enhance programme efficacy.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counselling or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of counselling experience

Technical Skills

• Psychotherapy
• Group Facilitation

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Mental Health Counsellor (CCMHC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in another language is advantageous.
