Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Direct-Entry Midwife to join our healthcare team. As a Direct-Entry Midwife, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers before, during, and after childbirth.

Responsibilities

  • Assess expectant mothers and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Handle deliveries and provide immediate postnatal care.
  • Monitor mother and infant health during check-ups.
  • Lead patient education initiatives on childbirth and postpartum care.
  • Collaborate closely with obstetricians and nursing staff.
  • Provide referrals when complications arise during care.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and training.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Midwife (RM) qualification
  • Advanced Midwifery qualifications are preferred
Experience
  • Experience in a hospital or birthing center setting is preferred
