Urban Development Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Urban Development Planner to contribute to our projects in Bath. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to devise effective planning strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting sustainable urban development.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse spatial data and use GIS tools for planning assessments.
• Research and apply best practices in sustainable urban development.
• Provide expert advice and support to local authorities and developers.
• Facilitate public consultations and workshops to discuss urban issues.
• Prepare detailed design briefs and planning proposals.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to align project goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field
• Master's degree in Urban Planning is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in urban planning or development

Technical Skills

• Urban Planning Software (e.g. AutoCAD, GIS)
• Project Management
• Stakeholder Engagement

• Communication

Certifications

• Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI)

Languages

• English: Fluent
