Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Clam Picker to join our harvesting team. In this role, you'll gather clams from designated sites, ensuring their quality as you prepare them for processing. Your work will contribute significantly to our commitment to sustainable seafood.

Responsibilities

  • Collect clams from designated harvesting zones while maintaining speed and efficiency.
  • Sort clams according to quality specifications and prepare for shipping.
  • Maintain hygiene practices in line with food safety regulations.
  • Document harvest quantities and quality reports daily.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of equipment and harvesting tools.
  • Work alongside the supervisory team to enhance harvesting techniques.
  • Engage in team meetings to discuss production objectives and strategies.
  • Continuously monitor the environmental impact of harvesting methods.

Requirements

Education
  • No specific qualifications required; food hygiene certificate is beneficial.
Experience
  • Prior experience in the seafood industry is advantageous.
