Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Hospice Admitting Clerk. In this role, you will play a vital part in the admission process of patients, ensuring smooth transitions and facilitating compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming admission requests and documentation accurately.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of patient appointments and testing.
  • Verify and update insurance information effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in patient care planning.
  • Utilize electronic systems for effective record-keeping.
  • Handle inquiries about hospice services with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Support other administrative functions within the hospice as needed.
  • Participate in training and development activities.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training in healthcare administration (preferred)
Experience
  • Familiarity with hospice care processes and regulations (advantageous).
