Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our team in Swansea. In this role, you will work closely with community stakeholders to develop and implement health initiatives that enhance public health outcomes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health education and have a solid understanding of public health principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead community health workshops.
• Evaluate public health programs for effectiveness and impact.
• Engage with diverse populations to understand their health needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve health services.
• Advocate for policy changes that support public health goals.
• Provide training and support to health workers.
• Conduct research on emerging public health issues.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health roles

Technical Skills

• Health data analysis
• Program evaluation

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)

Languages

• English: Fluent
