Courier Driver

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Courier Driver to join our growing team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages, ensuring the highest level of customer service. You will manage your delivery route efficiently and maintain communication with our logistics team to optimize operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with logistic teams to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on delivery vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide timely feedback on delivery issues to management.
• Document delivery schedules and address any changes.
• Assist in training new drivers on their delivery procedures.
• Provide input to improve route efficiency and delivery times.
• Assist with returns and exchanges as necessary.
• Prepare reports on delivery performance metrics.
• Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction with services.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Driving License (Category B)
• Location Familiarity

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift License: Holding a forklift license is a plus for loading and unloading.
• Multi-drop Delivery Experience: Experience handling multi-drop deliveries efficiently.
